About us

Petra Klausová is an older sister of Jakub Voráček, a successful ice-hockey player known today not only among the fans of this sport. Petra is a woman of incredible optimism who radiates good atmosphere around herself while no one would think that she has been fighting the diagnosis of multiple sclerosis. Thanks to this disease, Petra has become familiar with the conditions of patients and doctors, and with the problems they have to deal with. Together with her brother Jakub they decided to face the problem upfront and help people with the same disease, and not only them.

In April 2015 they therefore jointly established the Foundation of Jakub Voráček. The primary purpose of this foundation is to improve the situation of patients.

Jakub Voráček is an NHL player at Philadelphia Flyers where he has been engaged in charitable activities for several years. For example, he took an active part in projects such as Make a Wish Foundation, Building Hope for Kids, or Salvation Army. In the US, Jakub Voráček is focused on the support of children with cancer.

The Foundation of Jakub Voráček in the Czech Republic provides support focused on three areas:

Support of research and development of a register of patients with multiplesclerosis

Support of activities and development of MS centres in the Czech Republic

Support of individual patients with multiple sclerosis in difficult situations
